1. About these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the CompoundX website, tools, Ask X, your CompoundX account and related services (together, the "Services"), operated by [Legal entity name], registered at [Registered office] ("CompoundX", "we", "us"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. If you use the Services on behalf of someone else, such as a family member, you confirm you have their authority to do so.

3. Educational nature of the Services

Our articles, guides, glossary, product pages, tools and Ask X are provided for general education and information. They do not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation or needs, and they are not an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any financial product.

CompoundX does not provide personalised investment advice, research recommendations, tax advice or legal advice unless the relevant registration is shown on our Disclosures page and the service is expressly agreed with you. Consider speaking to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

4. Calculators and illustrations

Calculators, Wealth Lab, Goal Studio and Portfolio X-Ray produce illustrations using the inputs and assumptions you provide or accept. Assumed rates of return, inflation and other inputs are hypothetical and are not forecasts or promises. Actual returns may differ — sometimes significantly — and market-linked investments involve risk, including loss of capital. Portfolio analytics depend on the data you provide; where data is unavailable, we say so rather than estimate it. Methodologies are explained alongside each tool.

5. Ask X

Ask X is an education assistant that answers from CompoundX's reviewed content and, where enabled, an AI model. Answers may be incomplete or inaccurate, do not include live market data, and are not advice. Don't rely on Ask X for decisions; check important points with a qualified professional or a CompoundX relationship manager. Don't enter sensitive personal information such as PAN, bank details, passwords or OTPs into Ask X.

6. Third-party platforms and products

When you choose to invest, we take you to the platform of a regulated partner, such as our investment platform partner, for KYC, onboarding and transactions. Those services are provided by the partner under its own terms, privacy policy and grievance process, and products are provided by their manufacturers — fund houses, banks, insurers and issuers. CompoundX is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties, or for the performance of any product. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and do not mean we endorse them.

7. Your account

Keep your login details confidential and tell us promptly at [support@…] if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may require verification, and may suspend access to protect you or the Services. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose.
• Upload files containing malware, or data you have no right to share.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other accounts or our systems, or interfere with their security or operation.
• Scrape, copy or harvest content or data at scale, or use the Services to build a competing product, except as the law permits.
• Misrepresent your identity or your relationship with CompoundX.
• Use Ask X or other features to generate content that is unlawful, abusive or infringing.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of information and files you provide, such as goals, planning inputs and portfolio uploads. You give us permission to use them to provide the Services to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to share them.

10. Our content and brand

The Services, including text, graphics, tools, software and the CompoundX name and marks, belong to CompoundX or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. Any other use needs our written permission.

11. Communications

We send service messages about your account, bookings and requests. Marketing communications are sent only with your consent and you can opt out at any time, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Availability and changes to the Services

We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but they are provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue features — including product availability, which depends on partners and regulation — and will try to give notice of significant changes.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CompoundX is not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on educational content, illustrations or Ask X answers; investment decisions you make; the acts or omissions of partners, product providers or other third parties; market movements; or interruptions to the Services beyond our reasonable control. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law. 14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate CompoundX for losses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services, to the extent permitted by law.

You can stop using the Services and close your account at any time from Account → Privacy. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive — including limitation of liability and governing law — continue after termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will show the effective date at the top and tell you about significant changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory dispute-resolution mechanism that applies to a regulated activity, the courts at [City] have exclusive jurisdiction. Please first contact us through our Grievance Redressal process so we can try to resolve any concern.

18. General
